Lake Casitas Recreation Area has a beautiful trail around the east side of the lake. Perfect for a quiet leisurely stroll, jog or bike ride away from the campgrounds and a great place for scenic and wildlife photography. You are also welcome to ride around the paved campground roads, however you must share the road with vehicle traffic, so use caution.

The out-and-back biking and hiking trail (see map below) starts at Picnic Area #1 and follows the east shoreline for approximately 2 miles to turn around for a 4 mile round trip. The trail is paved through the recreation area shown in green on the map, and then becomes a dirt road. However, be aware of the "goathead" thorns that can puncture the most rugged tires.

For the more serious road rider, Lake Casitas is the perfect start and end point for HWY 150 road rides to Santa Barbara, Santa Paula and beyond.
